Superfoods are foods packed with nutrients, antioxidants, chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals, proteins, enzymes that can improve the condition and ability of the body almost overnight. It is not a great deal to eat the worthless food, the true art is to provide the body with a meal that nourishes it, regenerates, improves immunity, provides energy, and is quickly and easily digested. Of course, it is not about giving up our dietary habits and starting to eat radically, using only superfoods. A good diet is a well-balanced diet where superfood takes an important but not exclusive place.
Today's radar on: Raw Cacao
Good news for chocolate lovers, but WARNING! I am not talking about cocoa or chocolate available in accidental shop. I mean raw cacao beans, raw cacao or raw chocolate. Raw, means untreated, where the temperature of process never exceeds 40C degrees. Higher temperatures deprive enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins and nutrients. Raw cacao contains magnesium mead, which we usually lack or deprive as a result of a wrong diet, and 28 grams of raw cacao beans is equivalent to a dose of 314 % of a recommended daily intake of iron. Raw cocoa is also an extremely rich source of antioxidants that beats up to 21 times the green tea (also known for its richness in antioxidants), It is also a kind of natural doping, as raw cacao is very stimulating, it is better not to overdose its recommended intake.
How to eat: there is number of great recipes using raw grains, but I personally like it most in protein balls, blend with coffee or used in the smoothies (best when mixed with plant milk - especially almond or coconut milk)
My favourite recipe - Chocolate-Raspberry Smoothie
1 table spoon raw cacao
1/2 table spoon of almond butter
1/2 cup frozen bananas
1 cup of frozen raspberries
150 ml almond milk
1 or 2 pilled dates
/// Blend all ingredients together and enjoy your superpower smoothie!
